Although the Premier League title chase has been a two horse race for much of the season, credit must go to the very high standards achieved by John Roe Toyota and Simon Devaney Builders A that took it to the very last week before we knew the final outcome. The Toyota team needed three frames at G. S. N. Westlands and they did this with a bit to spare as Jamie Green and Jamie Richardson both won 2-0 before Craig Sidney won a single for the home team against John Parker. Jamie Steel, playing only his second game after a seven-year lay-off added the last two frames for G. S. N. but our congratulations, and those of Dave Devaney, go to the two Jamie’s, John, Paul Metcalf, Lee Blanchard and Danny Rock who make up the John Roe team.
The “young lads” as they are affectionately known of Simon Devaney Builders A ended up with all eight frames as they kept the pot on the boil in an exciting challenge. Our thanks to Craig Waddingham, Stuart Carrington, Ashley Wright, Craig Rowbotham, Andy Rouse and captain Dave Devaney for giving us some fantastic entertainment throughout the season.
Clee Cons A beat M. J. Decorators 7-1 with 2-0’s coming from Karl Krajnyak, Gary Skipworth and Darren Evans. Darren Potter saved the slam for the Decorators with a single against Jamie Barrett.
LES Engineering won 6-2 at home against Don Noble Bookmakers when Paul Clark and Mark Franks both won two and Jonno Webster and Nige Emmerson shared with Ian Sadler and Mark Stevens.
The highlight in the Westlands B versus Windows Warehouse match was a lovely break of 63 from Tim Gillin as he won both his frames against Ivan Harvey in a 5-3 victory.
Simon Devaney Builders B finish on a high with a 6-2 home win against Clee Home Guard B. Butch Reynolds (63 and 42) and Luke Maddison were their stars when both winning 2-0 whilst Steve Fisher and Wayne Webber won a single apiece for the visitors against John Vickers and Simon Devaney.
Firemen hit West End A for six with 2-0’s from Steve Topham and Tom Walker and singles from Craig Kuzemczak and Paul West.
At the bottom end of the table, Ocean Sea Foods (UK) are relegated despite a good 5-3 win at Clee Bowls X. Jack Stinson led the way with a 2-0 and this was added to by singles from Kev Cowdroy, Ryan Milson and Mick Rouse.
Hainton A lost the first six frames at Flor Pro when Alan Edmonds, John Ashford-Smith and Nige Lamming all won 2-0 before Dave Bartlett won the last two frames for the visitors.

The champions of Section A, Beertrix Trotters, finished off a very successful season with a 6-2 victory at Blossom Way A which means they were unbeaten throughout. Daz Barraclough and Danny Reynolds were their 2-0 winners with Andy Leworthy and Andy Kershaw getting singles against Leon Milner and Bill Altoft.
Clee Cons B will return to the Prem after an 8-0 win against bottom team Laceby Manor. Mark Goss, Lee Pawson, Brain Blyth and Martin Dowling did the business for the Cons.
With a remarkable run of recent results, West End B are promoted following a 7-1 victory at Cambridge H. Unfortunately we have no details of the match but well done to Martyn Shaw, Andrew Warner, Paul Taylor, Dave Lawson and Rich Walker.
Cromwell C just dip out after losing 5-3 at Cue World Dreamers. A single from Terry Burns against Dave Walker and a 2-0 from Chris Tuck gave them a 3-1 lead but Karl Haslam and Gaz Horsfall won the last four frames for the Dreamers.

Dan Webster, Neil Russell and Chris Taylor shared the first six frames with Graham Young, Dave McCann and Liam Oswin before a last board 2-0 from Shaun Wilkin gave Ray Edmonds H a 5-3 victory at Hainton B.
Clee Bowls A beat Carr Lane E 6-2 and Carr Lane D won 5-3 at home against Clee Bowls D which means Carr Lane D stay in this section at the expense of their club-mates.
Scott Templeman and Mick Greenhalgh won a frame each for Carr Lane E against Roy Ling and Jeff Dyball but Gordon Dawson and Tony Eglin won the last four frames for the Bowlers.
Unfortunately we have no details of the Carr Lane D match but Sean and Kevin Munson, Mark Leggett and Brian Ryley will be pleased.
Congratulations to Cromwell Comets who have won the title in Section C after drawing 4-4 at home against Bargate B. The visitors made it tough for the champions when Andy Widgery and Pete Gibbs won singles and Pete Tacey won two but over the course of the season, Paul Smith, Sid Bird, Simon Bensley Ian Taylor and Jase Lawton deserve their success.
Millfields A just lost out on a promotion place after losing 7-1 at home against second in the table Grimsby Police. Unfortunately, we have no details of the match at this time.
Despite losing 6-2 at T. R. Carpets, Ray Edmonds J fill the third promotion place at Millfields expense. T.R’s 2-0 winners were Alan Burns and Rick Gilliatt with Dave Morley and Rick Mazingham getting singles, but well done to Andy Smith, Adam Gladding, Phil Briggs and Daz Kaveney.
Bargate B drew 4-4 with Cabbies when Steve and Lee Neul won 2-0 in response to 2-0’s from Steve Singleton and Geoff Brown.
An opening 2-0 from Roger Smith and singles from Gerry Howes, Kevin Armstrong and Steve Burnett gave Birds Eye A a 5-3 victory at Grimsby Fireplace Centre.
In a game of two halves, Dave Bird and Adam Metcalf put Standard Under 40’s four to the good only to end up with a 4-4 draw after Dave Stewart and John Paul Teanby won the last four frames for Cambridge X.

Rich Clubley and Mark George won the first four frames at Hasbeens but they couldn’t add to that however as Adrian Webster and George Emmitt won the last four frames to earn a 4-4 draw.

Ramsdens Home Interiors and Novartis will join Willow Casa in a higher league next season after winning promotion from Section D. Ramsdens beat Laceby RBL B 6-2 when Craig Hatfield and Chris Dunham both won 2-0 and Stuart Usher and Matt McRae scored singles.
Novartis repeated this scoreline at Rock Bottoms and it was Steve Short and Rick Francis who won 2-0 and Matt Jones and David Taylor who won singles.
After a disappointing set of recent results, Ray Edmonds N have failed in their promotion bid and this week they lost 5-3 at Birds Eye B who finish in fourth place a point above them. Paul Grayson was the difference between the two sides with the only 2-0 in the match.
